We are not going to tell you about the scary statistics as they are well publicized, just know that in many states. DROWNING IS THE LEADING CAUSE OF DEATH OF CHILDREN.
CHILDREN MUST ALWAYS BE SUPERVISED AROUND ANY WATER, ANYTIME, ANYWHERE.
You need to know that any locking or safety device is just a layer of safety, and no layer of safety takes the place of adult supervision. It is very IMPORTANT that you replace any broken locks on your spa cover. A child is able to crawl under a partially locked spa cover. If you have broken locks on your spa cover – get them fixed immediately!
